This seems to be a comment of contradictions – are you in favor of animals being comforted, or not? These beds DO go to animals in the shelter desperately in need of comforting. Often, the beds go with the animals when adopted. If not, they are disinfected to heavily (to not spread possible contaminants), that the pillows can’t last for more than a few animals before they fall apart.

These poor animals need some kind of comfort. Are the people tooo lazy to wash these blanket or what? How would you like you, you animal or your child to live like these poor animals do without some kind of comfort? You ask for donations, but if it is not money you don’t want them, because you might have to do a little work. You should not work for someplace that tries to save them.

Comment on VIDEO: On Coney Island, Few Escaped Devastating Losses by Jody Luger http://nycitylens.com/?p=8043#comment-97510 Jody Luger Fri, 22 Mar 2013 22:53:52 +0000 http://nycitylens.com/?p=8043#comment-97510 Sandy was rugged for businesses and residents of Coney Island. As a businessman from ND, I can only imagine what the devestation would be like, and my best wishes are for everyone who is still suffering from the storm. As my daughter Chelsey appropropriately wrote in her story, “…nobody is visiting Coney Island for amusement…” anymore. People, from all over the country, hope the amusement comes back to Coney Island real soon.

Comment on In Search of a Character by Isaiah Richardson Jr http://nycitylens.com/?p=8941#comment-80220 Isaiah Richardson Jr Tue, 22 Jan 2013 18:57:18 +0000 http://nycitylens.com/?p=8941#comment-80220 Hello. I am the saxophonist that Mr Kilgannon wrote an article about. Your article only further proves my frustration. Mr Kilgannon doesnt do his homework and lies to get what he wants. I’ve never been to France in my entire life ever. I am a professional musician playing on broadway, touring, playing in top bands, studied at fine universities, Asian scholar with language proficiency certification in several languages, I teach, featured in newspaper articles om world instrument instructors, starred in Japanese language trlevision specials, play only top of the line professional instruments….Joshua Bell, the virtuoso that play incognito in the subway, performed the musix that he believed to be the greatest music in the world. I started out playing ONLY because all of my instruments were stolen. From tha t point on I began to pla yalmost everyday for a couple of months to not just buy back instruments ( clarinets, saxophones, harmonicas, flutes, sound equipment) but to get better stuff than I previously had. You can see why someone as professional as me would be pissed off. The next time I play Jazz at Lincoln Center, I can now say, “Bring me back with my own band! See I was in the New York Times! It say Golbal Anthems for the Saxophone!” Give me a break. I wasted a week and a half of my life for Mr Kilgannon to write an article that destroyed my ENTIRE LIFE. I told him from Day 1 I will ONLY do this article if you tell the truth!! I do not play there everyday. A year and a half ago I was there often but now I just dont have time Im hardly in New York. He ensured, lied, that he would make it very clear that a jump around like a fool so i only need to play an hour to $100 and ALL the money is spent on my art (equipment, seminars, instruments, language instruction). He knew all of this and continually ensured me that finally people will know the truth. Instead, he wrote an article 180% the opposite direction making me look like a fool and lied to America. Why? He lied just to recreate past stories. He lied to me saying he actually watched the links and read the articles I sent. I had to send him stuff so he could se e Im working as a musician. Me playing there from time to time was top secret. I let it out only for the truth to get out. He failed and lied to get his way. I feel sorry for him. He had his Joshua Bell article and didnt even know it.

see why a professional musician would want nothing to do with some cheese article like he one he wrote. I feel sorry for him. He had an opportunity to wrote something great but instead cheee

Comment on Jocelyne Sambira Promotes A Different Vision Of Life in Africa by cyriaque Muhawenayo http://nycitylens.com/?p=8789#comment-76969 cyriaque Muhawenayo Tue, 15 Jan 2013 10:07:02 +0000 http://nycitylens.com/?p=8789#comment-76969 Congratulations… I don’t see how and where to start….all what I can tell you is that you have chance to work with Jocelyne Sambira. She is a hard worker and has a sens of humanity. I today am a BBC Reporter, its because of that lady. She helped a lot refugees especially myself. I have never thought that one day, I will leave refugee camp and become what I am now. In Kenya, she taught me how to use COOL EDIT,…she is the one who bought me the first mobile phone, and took care of me like his brother. Because of Jocelyne Sambira, my dreams came through.
May God bless you Jocelyne.
Thank youuuuu!
