• 8:50 Arrive Queen Alia International Airport, Amman
Overnight at Imperial Palace Hotel, Amman

• Mass at Greek Orthodox Church with Father Daboor
• Noon prayer at King Hussein Mosque
Lunch at Amman Souk
• Visit Al-Husseini Mosque and King Abdullah Mosque
• Reporting time in central Amman
Dinner at Imperial Palace Hotel with students from JMI
Overnight at Imperial Palace

Saturday, March 13

Depart for Petra. En route visit the following sites:
• The mosaics of St. George’s Church in Madaba
• The Byzantine church at Mt. Nebo, reputed to be the burial site of Moses
• Bethany, the early Christian baptismal site on the Jordan River
Toward evening check into the Taybet Zaman Hotel, Petra

Sunday, March 14

• All day tour of Petra

Monday, March 15

• Travel from Petra to Sheikh Hussein Crossing
• Cross into Israel and continue to the Sea of Galilee
• Visit Mt. of Beatitude and other Christian sites
Toward evening check into Kibbutz Lavi Guest House
• Dinner and lecture on “Religious Zionism” at Kibbutz Lavi

Tuesday, March 16

Travel to Nazareth
• Visit Church of Annunciation
• Visit Site of Shihab a-Din mosque
Lunch in Nazareth
Travel to Safed
• Visit Meron – Tomb of Shimon Bar Yohai
• Visits Druze village of Beit Jann
• Dinner in Beit Jann with representatives of Druze community
Overnight at Kibbutz Lavi Guest House

Wednesday, March 17

Depart Lavi for Acco
• Visit the El-Jazzar Mosque in Acco
• Visit Baha’i Shrine in Acco
Travel to Shefar’am
• Lunch with Christian, Muslim and Druze leaders of the Galilee
Travel to Jerusalem
Dinner on your own
Overnight at Dan Panorama Hotel, Jerusalem

Thursday, March 18

Old City of Jerusalem visit, including:
• Western Wall
• Temple Mount/Haram a-Sharif
• Church of the Holy Sepulcher
• Other churches and religious leaders
• Columbia School of Journalism Alumni Reception at T’mol Shilshom Bookshop Cafe
Dinner at Jerusalem restaurant with Interreligious Coordinating Council
Overnight at Dan Panorama

Friday, March 19

• Visit Holocaust Memorial Museum at Yad Vashem
• Visit Har Herzl
Free afternoon for exploring and reporting
Depart Hotel for Sephardic synagogue service
Dinner at Central Hotel, popular with Haredi Jews
• Late night visit to the tish (table) of Hasidic rabbi
